Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Making Kit

Cabernet Sauvignon is the world’s most popular red wine! Cabernet Sauvignon is very tannic when young and must be aged at least a decade, so is often blended with Merlot or Cabernet Franc to cut down on aging time and soften the tannins.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon red wine making kit is available in 5.2 litres, 10 litres,16 litres, and 17 litres.

Cabernet Sauvignon (ka-ber-NAY saw-vee-YOHN)

Taste: Aromas and flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry and blackberry, as well as vegetal notes of green bell pepper and mint, together with vanilla and spice from oak.

Initial Impressions - 1st Time Buyer

Product was delivered to my door within a few days ++. I just started the ferment, so my initial thoughts are it looks good. Grape skins seem to have really improved and darkened the colour. The printable labels supplied are a cool concept, first time I have seen these, but I don’t use labels so I would prefer to “opt out” of these somehow as I dislike waste. I do use oak chips, but none provided. I have an Eclipse high end cab sav going as well so it will be fun to do a taste testing.
